Background tunes can make or break a sexual experience. Whether the encounter is between two strangers or longtime lovers, mood-setting music is absolutely essential. I have found that, for me, dramatic background music makes my sexual experiences one-thousand times more intimate and enjoyable. Even between strangers on a one-night stand, intimate music yields far more excellent experiences. Science proves this to be true. A research study done by McGill University in Montreal found that feelings of euphoria that come along with good music trigger the same brain chemical pleasure systems associated with sex. Essentially, good music can turn you on, making a handy sex playlist all the more necessary. 

This week, I put together a playlist of my favorite songs to play amidst the birds and the bees, featuring must-have intimacy artists like the Cocteau Twins and Beach House, but also more upbeat tunes such as “Try A Little Tenderness” by Otis Redding.
